Association nationale de la recherche technique - National association for technical research - ANRT

ANRT was created in 1953 to facilitate and develop interlinkages between Science, Research and Industry. ANRT is a private non-profit organisation which brings together public research organisations and Industry. Its members carry out the major part of R&D in France. Its board is composed of high level research executives coming from the most important industrial companies and research organisations in France. ANRT's mission is: 

  • To promote technological research and endeavour to increase the effectiveness of Research.

  • To foster the R&D activities of its members.

  • To participate and contribute to policy priorities setting on behalf of its members in the field of research and innovation. 

  • To undertake surveys of R&D, Technology and Innovation at both national and international levels.

PREST - Policy Research in Engineering, Science & Technology - University of Manchester

PREST is an institute of the Victoria University of Manchester, with over 20 full-time research staff. Founded in 1977, it is part of the University’s Faculty of Economic and Social Studies. PREST provides independent analysis and information for those developing and implementing policy for science and technology. It undertakes research and advisory work on various aspects of science and technology policy and strategy, and provides research training through postgraduate degrees and topic-oriented courses. It is a leading centre for evaluation of R&D programmes and S&T policy, with much experience in these fields. PREST’s main research areas are: 

  • Innovation & Collaboration
  • Evaluation & Science Policy
  • Foresight
  • Important new technologies
